Job Description

The Quality Manager will be responsible for defining, implementing, and monitoring quality policies and procedures- ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements.


  • Designing and implementing a Quality Management System inspired by automotive standards (e.g., IATF 16949), adapting it to the company’s industrial context and the transformer sector.
  • Defining best practices for quality control throughout the entire production cycle, ensuring process efficiency and continuous improvement.


The role involves overseeing the entire production cycle, from supplier selection to final product inspection, with the goal of ensuring high efficiency and continuous process improvement.


KEY TASKS:

  • Define, implement, and update the Quality Management System (ISO 9001 and industry regulations) with an automotive-oriented approach based on IATF 16949.
  • Design and implement quality control tools (FMEA, PPAP, SPC, MSA).
  • Coordinate quality control activities across the entire production cycle, from raw materials to finished products, ensuring proper management of non-conformities.
  • Manage and monitor non-conformities and define corrective and preventive actions.
  • Organize, manage, and lead follow-ups for internal and external audits according to automotive standards.
  • Develop and implement tools for continuous improvement of production processes.
  • Oversee supplier relations to verify the quality of incoming materials.
  • Define and implement a product traceability control system.
  • Supervise and manage process documentation (Control Plan, Flow Chart, PFMEA).
  • Monitor and ensure staff training and awareness on quality topics.
  • Track quality KPIs and define improvement plans in case of deviations.
  • Oversee technical documentation management and conformity certificates.
  • Collaborate with the production department to optimize processes and reduce waste.
  • Manage customer quality requirements and complaints, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Act as a reference during qualification processes and customer quality audits.
  • Monitor supplier service levels from a Quality Assurance perspective and manage preventive and improvement actions.
  • Work closely with the Operations Management to ensure quality across the production chain.
  • Coordinate product quality improvement actions following Lean principles, monitoring PDCA cycles assigned to the Quality area.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering).
  • At least 5-7 years of experience within the manufacturing or industrial sector; preferably in transformers or electromechanical equipment.
  • Experience in implementing automotive-style quality systems (IATF 16949).
  • Certification as an Internal and External Auditor and/or Product Quality Certifications from an accredited body.
  • Strong data processing and statistical analysis skills.
