Position Summary: The Quality Manager will report to the Director of Operations and will be the point person for compliance and reliability standards as well as developing and maintaining a food safety plan. The Quality Manager will lead a sanitation team and potentially quality technicians in the future. The job will be primarily based on 1st shift but will need to flex to 2nd shift on occasion.

Salary, Benefits, and Advancement Opportunities: The Quality Manager position will be a salary position with starting pay between $55 and $65 -thousand dollars a year based on previous experience for the position. Benefits for a full-time employee include health, dental and vision insurance, paid vacation and holidays, and a company retirement plan.

Daily Responsibilities will Include:

  • Confers with management to determine compliance and reliability standards and develop and maintain food safety plan.
  • Oversees development of new items including HACCP, specifications, procedures, and labeling.
  • Creates, implements, and maintains SQF Food Safety program.
  • Performs root cause analysis and documents corrective actions.
  • Coordinates with production and management on regulatory and quality issues.
  • Administers supplier approval process and maintains master item register.
  • Communicates with USDA, FDA, ODA, and other regulatory agencies.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Education/Experience – three years of related experience or training.
  • Language – ability to communicate effectively.
  • Computer Skills – competency in MS Office applications.
  • Supervisory Experience – some previous experience is preferred.
  • Physical Demands – employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
