Job Description

Shredfast Inc., a premier manufacturer of document collection and shredding vehicles, is looking for an entry level Electrical Technician. At Shredfast Inc., an Electrical Technician – Tier 1 works under the supervision of the Electrical Department Lead, performing installations, repairs and replacement of a variety of electrical components integrated into production builds. This position must demonstrate an attention to detail and a strong ability to focus.

Key or Essential Functions

• Assemble, install, and test electrical components
• Follow service guides, schematics and manufacturer specifications
• Repair or replace defective components
• Perform basic electrical parts preparation work
• Reassemble and test equipment after equipment repairs are completed
• Perform basic electrical truck chassis preparation

Qualifications

• Must be able to correctly identify color-coded components (there will be instruction)
• Have good verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of various electrical connectors or the ability to learn
• Previous experience with car stereo/security installations a plus
• A general understanding of mobile 12v electronics is very beneficial
• Read a tape measure
• Ability to use basic hand tools, drills & air tools

Physical Requirements

In order to meet all expectations of this position, an individual must be able to:

Regularly sit, stand, climb, walk, lift 50lbs., grasp, reach, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear

Shift Schedule

Full-Time 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m (non-exempt), Part-Time shifts are also available

Job Types: Full-time & Part-Time

Pay: Starting Wage $16.00 per hour
