Job Description

At Shredfast Inc., a Van Body Assembly Technician II reports to the Box Department Lead and operates as a senior production employee among the Box Department staff, both carrying out advanced box assembly for mobile document disposal trucks and providing guidance for the department in the absence of the Box Department Lead. A Van Body Assembly Technician II should have adequate knowledge of box assembly to answer all intra-department junior staff questions and coordinate effectively with other departments.

KEY or ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

All duties of a Tier 1 Van Body Assembly Technician including all steps of the process of box assembly:

• Coordinates employee activities within the box assembly sub-department
• Read and understand blueprints and schematics
• Troubleshoot issues with box assembly
• Miter and table saw operation
• Basic aluminum TIG/MIG welding training will be offered to Tech ll as a skill advancement
• Assist in training new box assembly employees

Equipment/Tools Utilized:

Duties of this position will require regular use of these types of machinery, equipment, and tools: Lifting equipment – including fork-lift trucks, overhead cranes and lifting slings (on the job certification provided); hand tools – including hammers, chisels, screw drivers and saws.

Physical Requirements

In order to meet all expectations of this position, an individual must be able to:

Regularly sit, stand, climb, walk, lift 50lbs., grasp, reach, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear.

Shift Schedule

Full-Time 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m (non-exempt)

Job Types: Full-time

Pay: Starting Wage $16.00 per hour, opportunity for wage increase within 90-days
