Job Description

TWC Project Manager/Estimator – Rare culture, stellar reputation, significant growth opportunity!

Whether you're looking for a better culture, a firm with a stellar reputation, better quality of life or some special perks you won't find elsewhere, we're the place where you can find all of that and find your permanent home.

Basic Requirements – There's a lot of support to help you grow and succeed with us if you meet the following requirements:

  • Basic blueprint reading skills.
  • Experience successfully managing multiple commercial or residential projects while building client relationships by going above and beyond.
  • You have very good interpersonal skills and a solid employment history.
  • Our software is super simple, but you do need basic computer skills.

Here's an overview of the role of Project Manager/Estimator at TWC – Every day is different, but these are the components:

  • Bid Administration – You will be trained on and ultimately responsible for preparing bid packages through our Edge Estimating Software.
  • Project Knowledge – Gain project knowledge by studying bid requirements, learn to ask the right questions, develop a thorough understanding of scope of work, anticipate potential issues before they arise, and offer value-engineering ideas.
  • Win Projects – Develop relationships and follow-up on submitted bids with General Contractors, Architects, and Construction Managers.
  • Operate as ONE Team – Effectively work with the Construction Manager and the Superintendent to ensure everyone is well prepared and up to speed on your projects.
  • Go the Extra Mile – Ensure that every project is led and managed to maximize client satisfaction by being prompt in all client communications, punch list competition, and schedule fulfillment.
  • Never Stop Improving – Continually read relevant construction trade publications for best practices and take the initiative to help improve TWC through new ideas, strategies, and suggestions.
  • Engineer Win-Win Solutions – From accurate estimates to well managed projects, always seek creative ways to maximize profits and client satisfaction.
  • Billing – You will be trained and then responsible for billing on your projects.

What makes joining TWC a great opportunity for you?

  • Top Benefits & Pay – Excellent BCBS Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance plus we provide you with STD/LTD, Life and AD&D. All of this plus a generous salary, bonus potential, company matching 401k retirement plan, and technology package.
  • Supplied Company Vehicle for Personal Use! You won't need a personal vehicle because we'll provide you an all-expenses paid late-model Chevy Traverse or greater company vehicle that you're welcome to use personally, including vacations with your family!
  • Work-life Balance – We're a flexible environment where you can catch your kid's game a couple of times per week etc. Plus, we're not typically working for owners or architects so it's less stressful and easier to leave work at the office.
  • Local Projects – We self-perform projects in the Greater Knoxville area so you won't be traveling!
  • Winning Reputation – You're joining the specialty contractor that the top GCs and Architects ask for by name.
  • Top-Notch Support Team – Our Superintendents are more like Construction Managers and our Foreman are more like Superintendents, so you can focus solely on your role and not wearing multiple hats.
  • Stability & Growth – We've been a part of Knoxville for more than 30 years and based upon a great team have experienced record growth which creates an excellent opportunity for this position to advance.
  • Career Growth & Advancement – You will be able to grow and advance as quickly as your ambition and aptitude permit with opportunity that's rare to find.
  • Terrific Culture – You'll find a supportive team where there's no judgement, yelling or screaming. The quality of our culture helps explain why the average tenure of our management/administrative team is over 19 years because we truly consider and treat you like family. We work hard, play hard, and have fun together. Just ask anyone on our team and they will gladly tell you!
