Job Description

Renovo Home Partners (Renovo) is in search of an enthusiastic and motivated project manager to join our Strategic Initiatives Office. The Strategic Initiatives Project Manager (SIPM) will lead efforts to onboard acquired companies to the Renovo platform as the business grows rapidly in the coming years.

Location: Dallas, TX 75201

About Renovo

Renovo Home Partners is a new portfolio company of Audax, a growth-focused private equity fund with a history of success in buy-and-build strategies. Renovo buys home remodeling companies across the United States and is particularly focused on quick turn products such as shower conversions, cabinet refacing, windows, and roofing (rather than custom home renovations). Renovo is on track to double revenue through organic and inorganic growth in its first 6 months of operations, with the vision being to generate $1B of revenue in the next 5 years.

Unlike many buy and build strategies, Renovo did not start with a 'core.' All corporate functions and capabilities are being built de novo and there is a strong entrepreneurial spirit as we build the business.

About the Strategic Initiatives Office

The Strategic Initiatives Office supports 3 primary pieces of work:

  • Onboarding new acquisitions – Successfully onboarding and integrating businesses is the heart of Renovo's growth strategy. Near-term, new acquisitions are being 'onboarded' to the Renovo platform. As Renovo corporate capabilities mature, new acquisitions will be more holistically 'integrated' with Renovo systems and processes. Key elements of both onboarding and integration work include defining the onboarding / integration plan, designing and maintaining a tool to track progress, reporting on progress, leveraging governance mechanisms, and helping businesses solve difficult onboarding / integration challenges as they arise.
  • Renovo and operating company strategic initiatives support – Renovo and its operating companies face strategic business questions daily. The Strategic Initiatives Office supports framing, solving, and implementation planning for these questions.
  • Chief of Staff – The Strategic Initiatives Office supports the Renovo CEO in many elements of running the business, particularly reporting to owners and engaging the Advisory Board.

A spirit of true partnership and collaboration with Renovo operating businesses is a defining feature of each of these areas of work.

Role of the Strategic Initiatives Project Manager

The Strategic Initiatives Project Manager will primarily be responsible for the “Onboarding new acquisitions” work described above. As such, they are a critical part and involved every day with driving Renovo's growth strategy.

Onboarding acquisitions responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives to define the unique onboarding plan for new acquisitions
  • Collaborating with Renovo and operating company leaders to plan for and execute onboarding and integration activity
  • Monitoring progress against onboarding milestones for acquired companies across multiple workstreams in business and technology
    • Maintaining an independent, objective perspective on the status and quality of onboarding and integration activities
  • Identifying and managing risks, issues, and interdependencies
  • Building out a tool to visualize and manage activities underway
  • Teaming with business and functional leaders to solve challenges as they arise in onboarding
  • Leading preparation for monthly Steering Committee meetings and other governance mechanisms to share onboarding progress, gather feedback, and gain alignment among key stakeholders
  • Working with the VP of Strategic Initiatives to iterate on the onboarding plan to develop the long-term integration plan as corporate functions are built out
  • Identifying opportunities for onboarding and integration process improvement and implementing them in a spirit of continuous improvement
