Job Description
Manage a manufacturing engineering group by coordinating all phases of manufacturing engineering to included hiring and Team member review, mentoring and professional development.
Responsibilities include planning, analyzing, and evaluating all or several phases of engineering programs, plans and procedures. Creating, training and enforcing Engineering policy and procedure.
Initiates procedures, methods, and equipment for development of projects. Reviews recommendations for designs and methods as well as equipment purchases.
Coordinates the creation, development, design and improvement of corporate products to conform with established program objectives.
Originates and applies new and unique methods and procedures with considerable latitude for unreviewed action or decisions. final decision on administrative, project management and operational.
Responsible for schedule and budget adherence for design phase of assigned projects.
Ensure that all design documents, including Bills of Materials, schematic designs, 3-d model and 2-d shop drawings which are submitted for approval are technically appropriate and meet manufacturing and supplier needs
Responsible to coordinate the process by which all design documents are reviewed and approved to meet required milestone dates.
Provide final technical oversight and approval for tool designs.
Responsible to ensure members fully understand compensation and performance systems. Monitor hours worked and tasks performed by Hourly employees.
Ensure resources are used adeptly and efficiently, and all engineers and designers know departmental and company priorities.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years’ experience in leadership role and 10+ years’ experience in mechanical systems design or equivalent.
2 years experience as project manager, preferably in Mechanical Design of Semiconductor equipment.
Excellent interpersonal, sales techniques and project management skills.
Ability to use Microsoft Office Applications and Solidworks software.
