Nexus Employment is currently hiring Production Machine Operators for a Food Manufacturing facility located in Dresser, WI. Full Time openings on 1st and 2nd Shift.

Job Summary:

The primary role of the Production Operator is to operate the equipment associated with each assigned job skill learned. There are different job skills that are learned including mixer, hydrolysis, evaporator, and drying/packing. Following standard operating procedures, the employee will see that our food ingredient products are of high quality. Completing production and quality documentation and communicating to other departments is fundamental to this position. This role follows the shift rotation schedule.

Job Duties:

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Follow standard operating procedures to operate various pieces of high speed and/or high-tech processing equipment
  • Troubleshoot problems with machinery and partner with maintenance staff to resolve issues
  • Calibrate processing and packaging systems daily to meet required specifications
  • Participate in start-up, change over, and shut down of operating equipment
  • Perform change overs and End of Run cleans including disassembly and reassembly of necessary equipment
  • Be responsible for executing all required HACCP/quality processes and documentation
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems in equipment operation
  • Assists in training new employees
  • Attend meetings and trainings as required
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned

Job Requirements

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of one year in manufacturing experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Basic computer skills
  • Keen attention to detail; documentation retention and organization skills are necessary
  • Willingness/ability to work weekends and night shift as needed. This position works both nights and weekends following a shift rotation
  • Commitment to safety and quality of work
  • Must be able to take direction and work well with others required to uphold a team-based environment

Physical Requirements:

Need to be able to both sit and stand for long periods of time. All types of chemical industry equipment are used in the plant to include, but not limited to fermentation vessels, jet cookers, agitators, mixing equipment, evaporation columns, centrifuges, and distributive control systems. May be exposed to loud noises, wet and humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic chemicals, extreme hot and cold depending on weather conditions. Must be able to speak and listen clearly. Fine visual acuity to read for accuracy. May be required to lift objects weighing up to 60 lbs occasionally.
