Title: Fire Sprinkler Sales Representative
Reports to: Division Manager, Suppression
Develop Sales and networking plans to achieve the division's sales, financial and customer service objectives consistent with the company's guiding values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Identify Sales opportunities in the greater Columbus area. Collaborate with clients, general contractors, and end-users to understand the breadth, depth, and technical complexity of each project. Collaborate with Architects and Engineers to design new and upgraded sprinkler systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.
Prepare detailed estimates and sales proposals. Conduct sales presentations, negotiate terms and conditions and secure contracts necessary to achieve sales goals.
Coordinate with Suppression team to secure permits, purchase material, schedule projects and attend to other project particulars.
Support the Installation team throughout the project. Assist in resolving customer-concerning issues that might arise. Ensure contractual obligations are met.
Maintain professional and industry knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining professional networks, and participating in professional organizations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Business and Sales knowledge necessary to develop and execute a sales plan and identify new business opportunities usually acquired with an Associate's Degree and three or more years of selling and/or installation experience in the Fire Protection industry.
Interpersonal and human relation skills necessary to build trust, collaborate with others and nurture internal and external relationships predicated on the company's core values.
Product and system knowledge necessary to understand the capabilities of competing offerings. System design and Installation knowledge necessary to prepare accurate and complete quotes.
Team-building skills necessary to cultivate a customer-first commitment from other Suppression personnel.
Ability to read architectural and mechanical drawings and blueprints to understand system designs and product placement. Familiar with NFPA 13, 14 and 20 standards and local building codes.
Administrative skills necessary to prepare Call and related sales reports and complete other administrative tasks in a timely manner.
Computer skills to use MS Office products proficiently
