Job Description

GORDON, a multi-disciplinary firm of design professionals with the common goal of providing creative design solutions to today's challenging environment, is seeking an energetic Water Resources Engineer to join our team. Eligible candidates will work on exciting sustainable/LEED projects, ranging from once-in-a-lifetime mixed-use projects of enormous scale to smaller-scale projects that provide an excellent opportunity for engineers to develop as professionals.

Gordon is not sponsoring a work visa at this time.

Candidates will design a variety of facilities, such as bioretentions, green roofs, permeable pavements, stormwater ponds, manufactured treatment devices, and underground detention facilities. Additionally, candidates will have the opportunity to prepare watershed studies, floodplain studies, and evaluate state-regulated impoundment structures for compliance with state regulations. Candidates working on a variety of water resources projects will also have an opportunity to gain general civil/land development experience.

Job Requirements

Successful candidates will possess strong mathematical/analytical skills, an ability to multi-task, and will enjoy working in a creative, fast-paced environment. Additionally, strong communication skills, writing skills and an ability to read and understand a variety of regulations at the local, state, and federal level is required. Minimum requirements include B.S degree in civil engineering, must have 1-2 years of land development experience , and strong Civil 3d/AutoCAD skills. Licensure (EIT, PE) preferred.
