Sales Manager Role

D'Artagnan, the nation's premier specialty food distributor, has a unique and exciting opportunity for a passionate foodservice professional with sales ability. Candidates will have the ability and desire to build and cultivate business relationships, are skilled at problem solving and can execute outstanding service to clients. Our business has a large client base of 4-star restaurants in Denver and we are seeking a strong and eager candidate with an understanding of high quality culinary products to expand the territory.

This position is not a typical sales position

Strong food knowledge and management experience in quality full service restaurants/hotels and/or culinary sales is required for this position. Both front and back of the house candidates will be considered based on the individual's experiences. In this role, you will work with top chefs on a daily basis and you must be familiar with their expectations and requirements. To be successful you will possess a strong entrepreneur spirit and knowledge of exquisite food.

You will be joining a team of dedicated industry professionals with a strong passion for perfection who are results driven. You must be detail oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, tenacious and creative without being overbearing. Strong communication, collaboration and presentation skills are essential.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales plans that promote and sell high sustainably raised meat, poultry and game items
    • Develop new business through networking and consultative sales approach and grow existing accounts
  • Keep up with market trends, understand your customer business and present product solutions based on clients' needs and goals
  • Perform administrative duties such as; preparing and presenting proposals, reporting against individual sales performance plans and maintaining sales records


  • Degree preferred (Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality or Culinary Arts)
  • 5-7 years of chef/restaurant management and/or culinary sales experience
  • PC skills and proficiency with MS Outlook, Word and Excel
