Job Description
The Plant Manager will be responsible for the overall management of our new facility in Trotwood, OH, overseeing all operational activities from production, logistics, personnel management and quality assurance.
- Lead the start-up process of the plant and define operational strategies.
- Ensure the achievement of production, quality, efficiency, and safety goals.
- Develop and implement a production management system based on Lean principles.
- Build and develop the local team, fostering a performance-driven and collaborative culture.
KEY TASKS:
✅ Plant Start-Up
Define and implement the operational strategy for the plant launch.
Coordinate the installation of machinery and production systems.
Recruit and train key personnel for production start-up.
✅ Production Management
Plan and oversee the production cycle to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
Optimize resource utilization to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
Monitor production efficiency through KPIs and implement corrective actions when needed.
✅ Personnel Management
Lead and develop a high-performing production team.
Define responsibilities and set objectives for each department.
Foster a corporate culture based on collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement.
✅ Quality and Safety Management
Implement and supervise a Quality Management System in line with international standards (ISO 9001 and IATF 16949).
Ensure compliance with local and international safety and environmental regulations.
Monitor non-conformities and define corrective and preventive actions.
✅ Supply Chain Management
Oversee the procurement of raw materials and components.
Manage relationships with local and international suppliers.
Optimize logistics to ensure continuous production flow.
✅ Continuous Improvement
Develop and implement Lean Manufacturing projects to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Introduce innovative technologies to optimize production processes.
Define improvement plans based on the analysis of operational data.
Job Requirements
- Education: Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial).
- Experience: At least 8-10 years of experience managing manufacturing plants, preferably in the electromechanical or industrial sector.
- International Experience: Proven ability to operate in a multicultural environment.
- Lean Manufacturing Expertise: Knowledge and application of Kaizen, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Quality Management Systems: Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems and production monitoring systems.
