Position Overview

The Building Information Model (BIM) Coordinator will develop design and construction documents and details in CAD/Revit/BIM; coordinate with internal and external architectural and engineering disciplines and adhere to design team BIM execution plan during the design process.

 

Responsibilities

  • ·         Provide BIM Coordination and daily management of BIM project data
  • ·         Prepare project-specific training documentation on project BIM execution plans
  • ·         Provide discipline-specific technical management of project BIM data
  • ·         Assist design team to ensure changes in BIM Project Execution Plans, company procedures and standards are effectively communicated to project teams
  • ·         Create, manage and maintain project content for project teams
  • ·         Support BIM project teams while enforcing “modeling best practices”
  • ·         Contributing to ongoing process improvement of in-house BIM Standards
  • ·         Review BIM models for quality control completion of VoltAir Standards
  • ·         Review Revit “warnings” to help keep model problems to a minimum
  • ·         Revit Model Migration — moving Revit models forward to newest version while verifying their integrity and completeness
  • ·         Create “as-built” Revit models from 2d legacy/owner drawings to be used as reference information or starting points for project teams
  • ·         Exporting Data for use by other disciplines and/or firms (AutoCAD backgrounds, Navisworks exports, etc.)
  • ·         Coordinate weekly Information Exchange across Design Team
  • ·         Navisworks Clash Detection/Model Coordination
  • ·         Attend Clash Detection review meetings
  • ·         Project CAD Support (including the support of legacy CAD packages)
  • ·         Contribute or otherwise assist design as required in discipline capacity
  • ·         Miscellaneous duties, as assigned

 

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • ·         Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and based in Atlanta, GA
  • ·         Revit MEP proficiency required, and familiarity with other engineering software programs
  • ·         Minimum of Associate Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related field, from an accredited technical institute, college, or university
  • ·         Minimum of 3–5 years related work experience
  • ·         Basic experience with project deliverable methods including design-build, design-bid-construct, fast-track and other construction delivery methods
  • ·         Highly proficient technical/computer skills including Microsoft O365 (Outlook, Work, Excel), internet and web applications
  • ·         Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills; ability to clearly convey information, ideas, and concepts verbally, written, or in graphic form
  • ·         Must understand how components of MEP/FP systems function and evaluate overall system performance under varied conditions

  • Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness in deliverables and communications, maintains high-quality standards, and good follow-up skills
  • Ethical, honest, and accountable; maintains confidentiality, handles sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • In-depth working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and BIM supporting applications
  • Experience of working in a project coordination role for CAD applications
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organizational skills

Physical Requirements
