Job Description

Position Summary: The Maintenance Manager will report to the Director of Operations and oversees the installation, maintenance, and repairs to equipment and facilities. The maintenance manager minimizes unplanned downtime through the effective implementation of routine and preventative maintenance and ensures a safe and functional environment.
Salary, Benefits, and Advancement Opportunities: The Maintenance Manager role will be a salary position with starting pay between $50,000 - $60,000/year based on previous experience for the position. Benefits for a full-time employee include health, dental and vision insurance, paid vacation and holidays, and a company retirement plan. The Maintenance Manager will report to the Director of Operations and will be primarily based on 1st shift but will need to flex to 2nd shift on occasion at our facility in Southeast Columbus, OH (Corvair Blvd. and Alum Creek Dr).
Hours:
Full time position on 1st shift. Regular hours will fall between 5am-5pm. Some after hours work may be required for repairs.
Required Skills and/ or Experience:
Food manufacturing experience required. 2-7 years of training/experience in maintenance, HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, or engineering. Supervisory experience.
Daily Responsibilities will include:
- Reviews job orders with other departments to determine work priorities.
- Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
- Directs maintenance activities on facility/utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
- Maintains preventive maintenance program in conjunction with production and maintenance staff.
- Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
- Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
- Directs training and coaching of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
- Monitors expenditure of funds in budget.
- Ensures work area(s) are clean and organized.
