Advancement Associate, Smithsonian American Women's History Museum | Grade: 9 | Location: Washington, DC | Open to All | Closing: October 30

Key Responsibilities
The Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum seeks an enthusiastic and detailed-focused Advancement Associate to provide support to the advancement team’s initiative the national volunteer network. The position provides technical and administrative support and will assist with a full range of advancement functions including drafting documents and presentations, conducting donor research, and assisting with donor prospect management, assisting with the national volunteer network, membership program, donor events and meetings, and board meetings; as well as performing data management, gift processing, stewardship, procurement, travel arrangements and other related administrative tasks.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will successfully demonstrate strong communications skills, an ability to successfully manage multiple deadlines, superior organization skills, and a thirst for learning. Attention to detail and an intuitive administrative aptitude are essential. A minimum of two-years of experience in supporting an advancement team or group with equivalent demands and pace is required. Experience in a large, complex non-profit organization desired.

The Smithsonian Institution offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive package of benefits. This is not a federal position but has similar requirements and benefits. As an IS-9 position, the base with locality salary ranges from $68,405- $88,926 (setting determination based on previous experience). The Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum supports flexible work schedules and promotes hybrid telework. Employees are required to work onsite in our Washington, DC offices 2 – 4 days per week. This position is not a Remote (100% telework) position.
