Employee Daycare Rates

  • Infants (6 weeks to 15 months) - $133 weekly, $27 daily
  • Toddlers (15 months to 2 yrs.) - $126 weekly, $26 daily
  • 2 years to 3 years - $119 weekly, $25 daily
  • 4 years to 5 years - $112 weekly, $23 daily

HMC includes a 25-bed acute care hospital, 59-bed nursing home, 70-bed assisted and independent living facility, 34,000 square foot Wellness Center, the Midwest Vascular Institute, and four satellite doctor's offices in area towns. Hopedale Medical Complex offers virtually the same services as many larger, city hospitals, including: a 5 bed 24-hour emergency room, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), general and vascular surgery departments, orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, urology, physical therapy and rehabilitation services, sports medicine, mammography, open magnetic imaging resonance (MRI), computed tomography scanning (CT), and many of the new innovative technologies needed for modern medicine. About the job:

The RN - OR Circulator works alongside surgeons and other healthcare personnel in the operating room. The Circulator documents the events happening during the procedure and ensures that the environment is clean and sterile. We have a very active Surgery Department; the hours are Monday-Friday starting at 6 am. The schedule allows for a good work-life balance. 


Responsibilities:

  • Act as an advocate for the patient before, during, and after surgery.
  • Monitor and record the patient's vitals pre-operation.
  • Prepare the surgical tools and materials that the surgical team will need during the operation.
  • Record every aspect of an operation, including the names and titles of those performing the surgery, the tools used, the amount of anesthetic a patient received and how long the surgery took.
  • Advise the surgical team on potential harm to the patient during surgery.
  • Assist surgeons during the surgery if needed.
  • Escort patients to the recovery room post-operation.
  • Clean the operating room post-operation.
  • Account for all tools used during the procedure.
  • Perform other related work as required or requested.

Job Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
  • Current RN licensure in the State of Illinois is required.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and a positive attitude are essential.
  • Must demonstrate consistent professional conduct, have great organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and ancillary staff in various offices.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to accept and implement new ideas and approaches is required.
  • The ability to modify procedures to the response and comfort of the individual patient is required.
  • Knowledge of Physiology, Pathophysiology, Geriatrics and Critical Care is required.
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with the Pharmacodynamics of anesthesia and analgesia.
  • Commitment to providing high quality, individualized patient care is required.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and initiate appropriate action as necessary is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac life Support (ACLS) are required.
  • Commitment to a professional organization (i.e., ASPAN, AACN, AORN, etc.) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Ambulatory Surgery, OR nursing, and operative procedures is strongly preferred.
