Summary: The Facilities HVAC Technician performs a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance and repair tasks on HVAC systems for all assigned Hendrick facilities, furnishings and related equipment.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Preventative Maintenance/Reactive Repairs at Hendrick Family properties. Responsible for quarterly maintenance at each Hendrick Family Property, this task will be self-performed, if repairs or replacements require third-party vendor, will be responsible for scheduling and managing the third-party vendor along with dedicated Real Estate resources.
- Quality control inspections: will complete inspections of all Hendrick properties with the goal of providing an annual HVAC Q/C report for every location to drive vendor accountability.
- Diagnosis, and repair of problem areas: will respond to, provide direction, or personally complete repairs of any troubled areas identified by Real Estate teammates.
- Gathers estimates and negotiates cost of repairs, when applicable.
- Attend monthly one-on-ones to discuss individual updates, goals, challenges as well as review your updates, goals, challenges, and performance KPIs.
- Properly documents all support inquiries in company tracking system
- Maintain a high level of courteous customer service
- Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area
- Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values
- Complies with Company policies and procedures
- Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.

Education/Experience:
HVAC experience required. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude required. Must be able to effectively utilize hand and power tools.
Certificates and Licenses:

Basic computer skills needed.
Communication Skills:
Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel. Requires strong communication skills and ability to interact well with others.
Attendance Expectations:
The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands:
Requires vision (distance, depth) and the ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – safety glasses. Constantly stands, walks, manually manipulates, lifts/carries up to 50 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 25 pounds. Frequently reaches outward, reaches above shoulder, climbs, crawls, squats or kneels, bends. Occasionally sits, lifts/carries over 50 pounds, and pushes/pulls over 50 pounds.
Environment Demands:
Frequently works indoors and outdoors, depending on the assignment. Frequent travel by car or airplane is required.
Verbal and Writing Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations.
