Sales BDC Job Description:

  • Sales Business Development Representatives (BDC) are trained to provide EXCEPTIONAL customer service and assistance throughout the car buying process. They are responsible for building relationships with customers and helping them every step of the way, from researching cars, setting up appointments, test drives, and beyond. Top performers possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to showcase our products and services in a compelling way!

  • Location: Hendrick Honda (Concord, NC).

  • Schedule: Full Time, 5-day work week, rotating shifts between 9:00am-8:00pm (will include weekends).

  • Pay Range: $50,000 per year and above (based on job performance).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contact customers to introduce dealership products and services.

  • Answer all incoming phone calls according to a proven, pre-set script.

  • Set appointments for customers to visit dealership showroom.

  • Respond to customer inquiries in a professional manner.

  • Contact internet clients via e-mail and phone to schedule an appointment.

  • Notify necessary departments to inform of appointments set.

  • Post scheduled appointments on appointment board in the Business Development Center.

  • Re-schedule “no-show” customer appointments.

  • Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction.

  • Keep track of customer inquiries and follow-up activities in Dealership Management System.

  • Maintain an organized database of customer information.

  • Generate and analyze reports to identify sales trends and opportunities.

  • Provide customers with product information and pricing.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of promotional campaigns.

  • Upsell products and services to customers.

  • Monitor customer feedback and provide it to management.

  • Manage customer concerns and disputes in a timely and professional manner.

  • Maintain CSI at or above Company standards.

  • Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area.

  • Participate in required training.

  • Follow Safeguards rules and regulations.

  • Demonstrate the Company’s Core Values.

  • Maintain accurate timekeeping record in timekeeping system.

  • Comply with Company policies and procedures.

  • Observe all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.

  • Other duties as assigned.

?Qualifications:

  • College Degree, High School Diploma, or equivalent.

  • Previous experience with inside sales or call center preferred.

  • Proven track record of success in meeting sales and customer service goals.

  • Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software.

  • Proficiency in upselling and cross-selling strategies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Essential Skills:

  • Typing and phone etiquette skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks concurrently.

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with customers.

  • Ability to memorize scripts for products and services.

  • Ability to use various computer applications.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Ability to understand customer needs and provide appropriate solutions.
