Lube Technician Job Description:
  • Lube Technicians are trained to provide efficient and accurate oil changes, tire rotations, and other maintenance services to our customer vehicles to ensure they are in top condition. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about cars and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.     Job Responsibilities:
    • Perform oil changes and inspect other fluid levels such as transmission, brake, and coolant fluids.
    • Check and replace air filters and fuel filters on a regular basis.
    • Inspect and replace spark plugs, plug wires, distributor caps, and rotors as needed.
    • Perform minor maintenance and repairs such as changing belts, hoses, light bulbs, and transmission filters.
    • Perform tire rotations and tire repairs as needed.
    • Diagnose and repair engine malfunctions.
    • Check vehicle's power steering, brakes, and suspension systems.
    • Perform brake pad and rotor replacement as needed.
    • Perform preventive maintenance checks and services on vehicles.
    • Inspect and diagnose vehicles to identify any additional needed repairs.
    • Document all services and repairs performed on vehicles.
    • Provide excellent customer service to all customers
    • Ensure that vehicle is clean and free of fluid residue or fingerprints.
    • Maintain CSI at or above Company standards.
    • Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area.
    • Participate in required training.
    • Record all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.
    • Follow Safeguards rules and regulations.
    • Demonstrate the Company's Core Values.
    • Comply with Company policies and procedures.
    • Observe all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    Qualifications:
    • Valid Driver's License.
    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Knowledge of automotive systems and components.
    • Knowledge of safety protocols related to working with automotive systems and components.
    • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.


    Essential Skills:
    • Ability to communicate effectively.
    • Ability to lift heavy objects.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to use hand and air tools.
    • Ability to inspect, diagnose, and perform maintenance tasks on various makes and models of vehicles.
    • Ability to properly and accurately document all work performed.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work in a safe manner with a team and independently.
