Summary: The primary function of this position is to work with various systems to architect, build, collect, manage, and convert raw data into usable information for marketing operations to interpret and action on behalf of our stores. The ultimate goal is to make data accessible so the marketing team can use it to evaluate and optimize store advertising performance.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities; however, you must possess excellent project management, strategic thinking, and analytical skills and provide leadership and strategic direction to the Hendrick Automotive Group family of dealerships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties can be assigned.

  • This role is a teammate in the Hendrick Automotive Group Marketing Department and serves as the primary/day-to-day relating to areas of responsibility in operational matters. This position is more of a “generalist” role versus being specifically rooted in data warehousing, table schemas, visualizations, etc.
  • Primary functions include:
    • Being the subject matter expert for our “data” and how to manage it through our various systems. This will primarily include Google Analytics 4, BiqQuery, Looker, CRM, Telephony, inventory management systems, and other relevant applications.
    • Acquire datasets - Build, test, and maintain these constructs.
    • Ability to create applications to transform data into useful, actionable information
    • Ability to create visualizations levering Looker and Tableau is highly desired.
    • Work closely with Hendrick Automotive Group financial analysis and IT teams to ensure marketing data and solution set is accessible to the entire organization and aligns with organizational goals.
    • Python and SQL experience is preferred

  • Active Performance Management:
    • Collection of performance data, disseminating actionable insights, identifying potential challenges, sharing best practices, and supporting our Senior Advertising Managers to find spend efficiency/improve conversion/performance.
    • Liaison between the operational support team and the Sr. Ad Managers. Studying trends and pacing to help the Sr. Ad Managers make optimizations quicker.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, or Business Management/ Administration preferred. Experience with automotive websites and adjacent solutions preferred.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

Verbal, Writing, and Math Ability: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees. Should have strong group presentation skills and excellent written communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, RFPs, and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. The ability to research, analyze, and matrix different business and demographic data types.

Certificates and Licenses: Valid Driver's License

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.

Environment Demands: Duties are performed primarily in the office, but frequent travel to dealership locations is required.
