Job Description
Gordon, a multi-disciplinary firm of design professionals with the common goal of providing creative design solutions to today's challenging environment is seeking a Surveying Field Coordinator/Project Manager with proven experience in all facets of land surveying, including transportation surveys, and the ability to relate to clients and people at all levels of the organization.
Our staff of Civil Engineers, Landscape Architects, Planners, Security Consultants, and Surveyors work together in an enjoyable work atmosphere where the employees' goals are as important as the corporate goals.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will possess the ability to perform all or most of the following duties and responsibilities:
- Assists Director by coordinating and scheduling day to day projects and tasks, monitor and review work for survey field crews as well as develops approaches to execute the field surveying to meet project goals.
- Performs all types of field and office surveying computations for preparation of stakeout.
- Ensure field work is meeting project goals prior to office processing and that procedures and quality control protocols are being followed by field personnel.
- Oversees upkeep field surveying supplies, vehicle fleet and field surveying equipment.
- Performs project management of some field survey projects and construction stakeout projects.
- Conducts safety meetings for all field personnel
- Assists in the preparation of proposals and presentations.
- Coordinate with Office Project Directors to provide assistance with cutsheets preparation and QC checking as needed, office survey computing and stakeout preparation when needed.
- Coordinate with Project Engineers and Project Managers on field work requests.
5-7 years as a Field Coordinator or PM.
