Our Garden Group, providing sales support and logistics for both proprietary brands and other consumer-recognized brands, is searching for a Division Manager to be responsible for in-store training and product knowledge of both CRSST members as well as store associates, within the Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Walmart stores in the assigned district. This position is focused on teaching fundamentals, product knowledge, best practices, and developing relationships within the CRSST team and store management in order to grow our business. In addition, this position will be the primary contact with internal business units coordinating planning, and sales opportunities as well as providing monthly analysis and reports to the Division Director and the VP CRSST.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS
  • Train, motivate, guide, and provide direction to Region Managers, District Managers, and merchandisers
  • Must be able to lead by example to ensure that the fundamentals of merchandising and “best practices” are being implemented
  • Must be able to meet, execute, and provide leadership for critical timelines such as resets, display implementation, special projects, etc.
  • Must be able to lead by example – daily in-store presence
  • Primary contact to partner with internal business units to coordinate planning/sales opportunities – Units include BDTs, Marketing, Brands, Distribution, HD RMMs, Lowes RFMs, and Regional Inventory Managers
  • Provide guidance and direction to Region Directors and Region Managers related to priorities and focus items with HD RMMs, Lowes RFMs, and Regional Inventory Managers to get initiatives across the finish line
  • Provide monthly analysis and reports to Division Director and VP CRSST regarding current relationship-building efforts, strategies, and priorities with HD RMMs, Lowes RFMs, and Regional Inventory Managers

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES
  • 5+years of Retail Merchandising experience preferred
  • Retail Merchandising experience in a seasonal category is a plus
  • BA/BS degree or an extensive amount of retail merchandising
  • Strong communication skills are required to interact with store management, and direct reports
  • Prior experience with maintaining customer relationships is preferred
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, multi-task, and problem-solve
  • Strong reading skills are required to understand packaging labels and re-tagging projects
  • Must be able to bend, pull, and lift 50 lbs consistently throughout the course of a workday
  • Must be able to climb ladders, use a pallet jack and powered hand tools
  • Must have a valid driver’s license in the state in which you reside, a good driving record, reliable transportation, and proof of current personal car insurance with you listed as an insured driver
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Retail store environment – both in-store and garden center
  • Work week is Monday - Friday and some weekends during Peak Season (March - June)
  • Ability to travel daily and overnight between stores (personal car)
  • Remote
