Warehouse Clerk

Our Pet Segment is seeking a Warehouse Clerk to be a part of our K&H Team based in Surprise, AZ. The Warehouse Clerk verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

• Works safely in every case and promotes safety at every opportunity.
• Utilizes SAP to prepare delivery notes, process picking orders for warehouse associates, and review and enter completed orders
• Utilizes logistics software to rate, tender, and route orders on transportation carriers.
• Responds to questions from clients and sales managers regarding shipping orders.
• In a timely and accurate manner, review counts and weights of all outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Organize printed orders to flow to the warehouse.
• Assign dock times and call for delivery appointments.
• Unpacks examines, and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with the shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Provide shipment tracking through SAP and LTL partner websites.
• Compile daily KPI’s into spreadsheets for tracking.
• Track and set up returns with LTL partners.
• General warehouse office duties.
• Matching labels with order paperwork.
• Loading printers.
• Able to receive and process all defective parts returned for replacement or credit (RMA).
• Other duties as assigned.

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

• High School diploma required. Post-high school education and training are desirable.
• Minimum of six months prior warehouse experience required.
• Proficient in the use of computer software required to support work including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Strong multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Teamwork-oriented self-starter; work is conducted in a team environment; therefore, team members cooperate to carry out assigned duties; the incumbent must actively participate to be effective in the job.
• Ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Warehouse office environment.

• Exposed to any number of elements, but none presents to the extent of being disagreeable.
