We are searching for a Financial Analyst for our Pet Segment! This position reports to the Director, Pet Segment FP&A and directly supports Pet leadership and the Executive suite. The position’s focus will be to support all Pet Segment consolidation, planning, reporting, and analytical needs as well as act as a liaison between leadership and the business units on all deliverables and requests. This position offers high exposure to senior leadership and the chance to do work that is appreciated and makes a difference.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS
  • Develop and deliver accurate and timely Pet Segment reporting and consolidation (close, forecast, budget, MD&A, board materials, etc.)
  • Demonstrate strong relationship-building skills; become a trusted partner/resource of the Pet business units and other cross-functional teams
  • Work with various business partners across the segment in order to ensure consistency in analysis, planning and reporting
  • Manage Pet Sales Finance monthly reporting, support Sales Operations Plan development and ad-hoc requests.
  • Employ insightful use of financial analysis techniques, tools, and concepts, to provide practical counsel to leadership and business unit partners, helping drive business results
  • Continuous improvement mindset: Demonstrate clear commitment to continuously improve quality, process, and standards. Actively seeking ways to eliminate non-value added work, streamline business processes and resolve problems at their root cause.
  • Proactively identify potential data, analytical, and reporting needs to support management and performance monitoring requirements
  • Calmly and effectively manage multiple deliverables/priorities simultaneously as well as occasional high-pressure situations
  • Able to effectively communicate with all business partners, regardless of level. Communicating clearly, concisely, with candor and confidence
  • Able to do a variety of modeling: scenario analyses, proformas, trade spend/marketing ROI
  • Lead and participate in special projects and initiatives to improve and enhance current financial processes and performance for the Pet Segment

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES
Education Requirement and Years of Experience:
  • BA/BS in Finance/Accounting/Economics/Mathematics
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate finance or a comparable position is required
    Technical Skills/Experience Required:
  • Exceptional analytical expertise/skills; Skillful at unearthing data and translating complex assumptions/business requirements into financial models and what-if analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with various levels of management
  • Proficiency using Excel, Power Point, and Word. SAP and Tabeau experience a plus.
  • Excellent time management skills for coordination of multiple projects
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Approximately 0-10% travel
  • Hybrid Office environment (minimum 3 days per week in the office)

POSITION INFORMATION
This position pays $80,000 to $105,000 per year depending on experience
