Come join the Central Specialty Pet team in Franklin, WI. You will have the opportunity to work with products for Aquatics and Reptile. We are currently in need of a2 nd Shift ProductionSupervisor reporting directly to the Production Manager.This role is mainly responsible for managing departmental performance KPI’s, training pipelines, development of Shift Leads and high-performance production teams with direct oversight and supervision activities of CSP manufactured products. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS
  • Supervise department(s) of 25-30 employees across 1-2 shifts with direct oversight of all aspects of production.
  • Manage Department KPI’s, efficiencies, cost per unit, labor hours and absorption costs.
  • Report out on KPI performance, develop action plans to close performance gaps and create reliability improvement plans with Production Lead’s across each shift.
  • Manage staffing levels, EE training and cross training plans and employee performance to maximize productivity and customer service.
  • Work with production planning to review production schedule / demand and orders, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates to support department operations.
  • Directly oversee performance focused on production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
  • Oversee and Develop Resource Tech Line Leads to conduct CILT’s regularly. Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
  • Develops or revises standard operational procedures and modify details as needed.
  • Resolves worker issues or submits unsettled issues to Production Manager/HR for action.
  • Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data from SAP and Shoplogix.
  • Lead a departmental culture focused on safety. Act as a proactive leader and advisor to Lead’s advocating, coaching and mentoring leader’s and employees on best safety practices, CORE, near misses and first aids, safety investigations’ 5-Why and seek to implement control and communication plans as it relates to safety, minimizing exposure to incidents, recordable and lost time injuries.
  • Monitor mechanical performance of equipment and facilities, coordinating corrective action with Maintenance personnel.
  • Manage compliance to housekeeping, and other quality initiatives.
  • Responsible for reporting any Food Safety issues to authorized personnel for correction.

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES
  • 2-4 years of supervisory experience in a production and packaging environment and/or a Supervisory Management Degree is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Supervisor experience preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with SAP preferred
  • Ability to motivate and direct people.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Work is performed largely in the production environment.
  • Hours of work will generally be during 1st shift hours and average at least 40-45 hours a week but will require flexibility to shift schedules as needed.
  • There will be some variation in work hours due to employee shift schedules, special projects, deadlines, and other concerns.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
