ROLE SUMMARY

Works in our warehouse to provide support to our transportation and warehouse departments. This person will c omplete shipments in SAP, group, and post orders/routes, print invoices and truck delivery reports, coordinate LTL and CCN delivery and pick up. Perform routing utilizing Telogis, our TMS system. Contacts customers with delivery issues, process delivery paperwork and run daily reports. Will also re lease and assign orders using SAP and our warehouse management system and assist with receiving paperwork.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

• Perform daily functions in SAP for Hill’s, including creating shipments, completing the picking process, PGI orders/shipments and print invoices.

• Assign orders to warehouse associates in the WMS system for both the Hills and General Pet databases.

• Complete shipments, group and post orders and print invoices for General Pet deliveries.

• Route 10-17 delivery routes daily using Verizon Connect routing system.to maximize efficiencies.

• Respond to requests for proof of delivery using Verizon Connect, UPS, Laserfische and carrier websites.

• Prepare Bills of Lading for common carrier shipments.

• Reconcile Driver trip receipts.

• Maintain delivery logs including weekly route delay and special shipment reports.

• Assist with A/P functions, including scanning invoices to Laserfische and entering the proper GL accounts

• Process driver paperwork; including scanning delivery receipts into Laserfische and forwarding paperwork to appropriate department.

• Communicate any delivery issues with customers, customer service department and Hill’s.

• Assist warehouse associates with daily functions, including answering inventory questions, printing license plates, and fixing handheld devices as needed.

• Regular attendance and onsite presence.

• AIB and GDP requirements while performing daily operational functions/duties.

• Follow all Food Safety policies and procedures; including performing daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning assignments and other related activities as directed.

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Related experience is important, including experience invoicing orders and managing driver paperwork.

• Good knowledge for Freight classifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to read, write and speak English.

• Strong people skills and able to collaborate with people at all levels of the organization in a professional manner.

• Must be well organized, able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

• Attention to detail.

• Proven analytical skills and the desire to make things right.

• Must be proficient in the following applications WMS, EXCEL, and SAP

• Must be able to work independently, with minimum of supervision.

• Work overtime on short notice; position requires working until the job is complete.

• Able to work at a computer and sit for extended periods of time (3-4 hours). Position also requires frequent walking due to interaction with all departments and employees.

• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random testing throughout employment.

• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Work Hours & Starting Pay (Full-time)

Evening Shift: Mon-Fri, 1:00pm-9:30pm ($19.00 - $22.00 based on experience)

Night Shift: Sun-Thurs, 7:00pm-3:30am ($20.00 - $23.00 based on experience)
