Our Garden Segment is seeking an Operations Analyst to join our Vendor Partner Business Unit, Central Garden & Pet’s distribution business servicing Home Depot, Lowe’s, Walmart and more. This position will directly support the Business Unit Finance Director and collaborate with team members in S&OP, Sales and Business Development to drive the success of the Vendor Partner Business Unit.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

• Partner with the Business Development team in pricing and cost justification workstreams as well as the yearly product line review process
• Support the monthly close process through management of various accruals and margin variance analysis
• Model profitability and business scenarios, make actionable recommendations based on findings
• Support annual budgeting process
• Provide the S&OP team with analysis and dashboards around various KPIs such as OTIF, fill rate, inventory level and inventory quality
• Be the Business Unit expert in analytics, providing training and assistance to team members as needed

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

• Bachelor’s degree with a business or analytics emphasis preferred (Finance, Accounting, Statistics or Supply Chain)
• Advanced level of experience with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, sumifs, arrays and VBA
• Strong attention to detail with exceptional communication skills
• Strong analytical abilities
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with team members
• Knowledge and experience in Tableau, Alloy, SAP or Business Objects, Hyperion, preferred
• High level of energy and sense of urgency; self-starter; strong and effective multi-tasker
• Ability to travel up to 15%
