Central Garden & Pet Company (NASDAQ: CENT), a leading innovator, marketer, and producer of quality branded products for the pet, lawn, and garden supplies markets, is seeking a Customer Marketing Specialist for our Central Pet Specialty team, at our Franklin, WI location.

The Customer Marketing Specialist will deliver field marketing programs to grow our business with existing customers while building our distribution with new accounts. Reporting to the Director of Customer Marketing, this role requires a collaborative approach across sales and marketing teams to deliver on specific sales priorities including new product introductions, pricing, trade management and demand generation within the Field Marketing organization.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:

• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support sales stories and line review preparation
• Coordinate price list management including working with sales operations on pricing actions
• Coordinate and maintain sales resource hub including planogram creation, product updates, and promotional management forms
• Support trade show and consumer events including sampling ordering, point of sales and promotional materials
• Work cross-functionally to ensure programs and events stay on task and within budget
• Track, measure, and communicate program goals and results

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES:

• 3+ years of sales and or marketing experience
• Familiar with marketing applications such as Profitero, Nielsen, Salsify, and Blue Yonder/JDA Space Planning
• Flexibility to adjust to the dynamic nature of a growth company.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong project and time management skills with the ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously.
• Able to present and communicate new ideas, products, and campaigns to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Clear communicator (verbal and written) and ability to build successful relationships with sales teams
• 10-15% domestic travel to support trade and consumer events

WORKING CONDITIONS

Hours will generally be regular business hours and average at least 40 hours a week. There may be some variation in work hours due to training schedule, overtime, special projects, deadlines, and other concerns.
