Central Life Sciences is searching for a Manufacturing Analyst in our Dallas, TX location. This position develops and maintains systems for capturing line/process performance data [i.e. labor efficiency, cumulative outputs, consumptions, yields, variance, etc.]. Provides meaningful reports that allow for production personnel, other support functions and/or teams to analyze the data for process improvement actions. The expectation is that this position will recommend implemented improvements yielding a minimum of $80,000 per fiscal year. The analyst will work with all support departments to create, assemble, or improve world class level processes.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

• Review completed production orders from the shop floor. Look for significant unexplained variances. Investigate and help solve problems stemming from production flow specialist errors, incorrect BOM’s/PCR’s/MCR’s, incorrect or non-existent scrap allowances, and excessive scrap rates on the production lines.

• Review Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) and downtime data to prepare weekly summary reports. Analyze data for long term trends in down time and OEE shifts. Make recommendations on key downtime causes for Continuous Improvement efforts for OEE improvement.

• Collect line reports from operators and/or teams and compile/distribute labor efficiency reports. At the end of the fiscal year, analyze data and provide recommendations [to CI Manager, Production Manager, Plant Manager or SVP] regarding necessary changes to labor standards.

• Provide daily data entry support for Operations, typing quickly and efficiently.

• Maintain and update training database records.

• Provide direct shop floor assistance as needed.

• At times the Analyst may be asked to work on a production line if qualified in the task being asked to perform.

• The Analyst will be asked to participate in or act in a leadership role focused on process improvements driving Net Productivity Gains.

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

• High School Diploma; some college a plus.

• 5-10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment required.

• Good analytical skills, including ability to compile and interpret data.

• Excellent understanding of Central Life Sciences manufacturing processes desired.

• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel/Access, SAP and Shoplogix.

• Strong mathematical skills, statistics a plus.

• Must possess strong leadership and teamwork skills that will inspire people to achieve goals that are difficult but not impossible to achieve.

• Lean Manufacturing Experience Desired.

• The Manufacturing Analyst’s short-term goals will include acquisition of Green Belt Certification and completion of APICS courses in Bill of Material (BOM)/Planning.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Works in a manufacturing setting with adequate temperature and lighting levels.

• Standard work schedule: Monday to Friday.
