Central Garden & Pet is seeking a Contract Recruiter to join the Talent Acquisition team, focused on recruiting for our high volume and seasonal roles across the country. The Contract Recruiter will be responsible for the end-to-end recruiting process including sourcing and attracting talent, resume review, interviewing and presenting a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent to hiring managers.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

• High-volume recruiting for various roles, including merchandisers, warehouse workers, and drivers.
• Responsible for end-to-end candidate management including sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, and presenting finalists.
• Source both active and passive candidates.
• Review resumes and job applications and perform initial interviews.
• Assess candidates for relevant knowledge, experience, technical skills, and behaviors.
• Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
• Maintain constant communication with Hiring Managers and HR Partners to ensure candidates efficiently move through the hiring process.
• Manage sensitive information and exercise acute discretion at all times.
• Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities.

• Experience recruiting for non-exempt roles in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, self-starter with the ability to take initiative.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
• Proficient in applicant-tracking software.
