Central Garden & Garden Company is searching for a Senior Manager of Corporate Procurement to facilitate delivery of our Source to Pay (S2P) tool through partnering with the platform provider and business units. The role reports to the Director of Direct Procurement and supports the sourcing and supply needs for major direct materials, services and outsourced products aggregated globally and leveraged for scale to benefit the total Company. This position can be located in one of our offices in Schaumburg, IL, Atlanta, GA, Franklin, WI, Dallas, TX or Detroit, MI.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

• S2P platform implementation and subsequent execution across the company supporting the business units and Corporate users

• Identifying and coordinating strategic sourcing event roadmaps across the BUs

• Supporting Net Productivity Projects to drive year over year savings

• Communicating with the BUs on Days Payable Outstanding program driving year over year working capital improvement

• S2P liaison for procurement across BUs

• Supporting procurement strategies, including financial analyses, supplier management, contract management, and strategic sourcing

• Negotiating contracts as necessary

• Aiding in the establishment of Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and Procurement Scorecard across the BUs

• Communicating key monthly market trends to the BUs

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline; MBA preferred.

• Minimum of 10 years successful procurement experience, preferably in a fast-paced CPG environment involving leadership role.

• Knowledge and understanding of implementing a Source to Pay (S2P) tool, SAP Ariba preferred.

• The ability to handle multiple priorities and be able to balance those priorities as needs and markets change

• APICS CSCP or other related supply chain certifications preferred

• LEAN and/or Six Sigma experience preferred.

• 7 step sourcing process and total cost of ownership knowledge

• Proven ability to influence, collaborate, and motivate teams to meet new demands

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proven market research skills, financial business acumen, and mature judgment

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Hybrid schedule with 2-3 days per week required in office

• Travel 5% - 15% mainly domestic
