Position Summary

Responsible for tasks in relation to packaging, consolidating, wrapping and/or loading picked orders onto delivery trucks in appropriate order and balancing. Responsible for maintaining accuracy while consolidating or loading. Expected to be able to perform all aspects of the job as described below in addition to the duties of Warehouse Associate 1, Warehouse Associate 2 and Warehouse Associate 3.

Areas of Responsibilities

• Accurately review order and delivery documentation to ensure proper product is sorted and/or loaded.

• Loaders will load outgoing orders onto delivery trucks, ensuring loads are stable, damage-free and loaded in a manner that complies with maximum truck axle weights.

• Assist the inventory department in completing cycle counts, as needed.

• Meet production, quality, and accuracy levels as established by business unit. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment.

• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions

• Identify correct pallet and check order, manually wrap pallet contents per specifications.

• Consolidate orders, load pallet on to shrink wrapper; operate shrink wrapper.

• Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Work extended hours, as required by operational needs.

• Flexibility to work in other areas and departments, as needed. Must be able to cross train in other departmental areas.

• Maintain a clean workplace to avoid tripping hazards or other accidents. Follow all food safety policies and procedures including performing daily, weekly and monthly cleaning assignments and related activities as directed.

• Promote a safe work environment by following facility and company safety guidelines. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

• Ability to effectively communicate with manager and co-workers. Ability to comprehend and carryout moderately complex instructions.

• Safely operate and become certified in use of electric pallet jack, walk-rider, forklift, shrink wrapper and/or other required equipment.

Education and Experience

• Able to perform and meet qualifications for Warehouse Associate 1, Warehouse Associate 2 and Warehouse Associate 3.

• 2 or more years related warehouse experience, preferred.

• Previous forklift certification and RF scanner experience, preferred.

• Ability to count and perform basic math.

Physical Demands

• Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds, and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.

• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

Working Conditions

• The warehouse is a non-climate-controlled facility. The outside temperature generally reflects the inside temperature with little air circulation. Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to dust.

• Must be able to wear safety glasses, safety vest and any other personal protective equipment as required for the facility/work area (i.e., gloves, safety shoes).

Starting Wage & Work Hours

2 nd Shift

$19.00 – $21.00+ per hour (based on experience)

Monday - Friday, 1:00pm – 9:30pm, plus overtime as needed
