Field Merchandising Trainer

Description

The Field Merchandising Trainer reports to the VP of Retail Operations and facilitate merchandising training for the organization. They will identify and monitor training needs for the field teams and establish merchandising standards in conjunction with the VP. The Trainer delivers instruction to all field teams ensuring consistency in sales processes and standardized visual presentation of Bell product. This position requires developing relationships with all departments within the company, specifically field management, and the Bell partnership with The Home Depot to confirm operational effectiveness and maximize long-term store performance.

Job Requirements

Measures of Success:
  • Develop training strategy and plan with input from VP of Retail Operations appropriate to all markets and level of employees
  • Develop merchandiser training and materials based on needs analysis for Market Managers, District Managers, and store-level merchandisers
  • Facilitate virtual and in-person training on service responsibilities, procedures, customer service principles, playbook, and use of current software programs
  • Become subject matter expert for all content and materials
  • Develop and facilitate Train-the-Trainer modules
  • Utilize company-provided HRIS, learning programs, and learning software as instructional aids
  • Create company-wide training repository
  • Prepare annual training budget and ensure milestones and goals are met within approved budget
  • Develop and review key performance metrics for training including tracking, attendance, and registrations
  • Develop strong working relationships with business partners and a deep understanding of their strategy, goals, execution, and KPIs
  • Develop training evaluation process and implement feedback
  • Maintain positive employee relationships by acting in courteous, professional, and respectful manner
  • Keep current regarding best practices, learning modalities, new techniques/technology for training


Technology Requirements:
  • Expert in Microsoft Office suite and Google suite
  • Working knowledge of eLearning Platforms and best practices
  • Expert in Adobe Illustrator
  • Proficient in video systems/recording
  • Other graphic programs (Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Proficient in SharePoint and creating microsites

Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to travel via plane, car, or other mode of transportation as designated by management
  • Always follow all safety standards, policies, and practices
  • Be able to work indoors and outdoors during all seasons
