This position will provide overall support to the marketing team, including Product Managers and Director of Marketing. This role will be responsible for building strategies to win with consumers and retailers, alike, based on solid insights, superior products, and total proposition design that delights. You will set the course for the cross-functional team, leading with a collaborative, inspiring vision making and making data-based decisions along the journey. The position is within the Dog and Cat business unit and reports to a Director of Marketing.

This position is being offered as hybrid with requirements to work on-site 4x a week at our commercial office complex in Neptune City, NJ and one day from home.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:
  • Work within the Marketing team to support product development needs, product launches, promotional activity, and general office administration needs.
  • Support project management efforts for all stages of product development by tracking progress and following up with respective departments.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of a variety of projects such as: market research, pricing analysis, market analysis, customer presentations, and feedback.
  • Help team identify and stay abreast of category trends and insights by monitoring syndicated scan data and evaluating competitive products, market share, pricing, advertising, and maintaining department databases with findings.
  • Organize and maintain department product data and channel accurate information through the organization to project teams as appropriate.
  • Organize and maintain department shared projects folders for efficient access for all team members.
  • Portfolio management including item set up, new product spec details, item discontinuation forms, and internal process for system set ups and discontinuation.
  • Assist with product costing development and margin evaluation.
  • Assist with populating and managing the marketing content calendar and new product launch tracker.
  • Coordinate with the Creative team for proofing, routing, editing of sell sheets, catalogs, and packaging, etc.
  • Support Sales and Marketing team in preparation for trade shows, account presentations, and sales meetings.
  • Plan and participate in meetings by coordinating requirements, establishing contacts, schedules, and assignments, as well as any follow-up required.
  • Communicate and align with Sales daily to action marketing programs and strategies that help define the brand image. Provide support for all Brand Marketing efforts in collaboration with Sales as needed.

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES:
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of marketing experience required.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office. Requires advanced Excel skills and excellent PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team player, able to communicate with multiple departments.
  • Attention to detail, thorough and accurate. Willingness to take complete ownership over specific activities while adapting to quick changing shifts in priorities. Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects and tasks while adhering to deadlines.
  • Experience working with Nielsen and/or IRI retail scan data is a plus.
