Our Garden Segment is hiring an Associate Business Development Manager on our Walmart Business Development team located in Bentonville, AR. This role will l ead and execute business development initiatives for select categories to achieve annual net sales and financial targets. This position will collaborate with sales managers and key customers to identify and deliver compelling and actionable solutions to the Central Sales Team and key customer decision makers by mining data, analyzing business and industry trends and clear communication of relevant insights.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

• Responsible for development of short-term objectives; execute on the defined long-term strategic initiatives

• Responsible for the development and management of business development strategies

• Work in partnership with the sales team to create and develop data reporting designed to drive critical business decisions, identify shifts in business and offer solutions through data analytics, drive action through data, communicate results, and offer actionable insights to drive strategies and sales objectives

• Deliver sales objectives

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree required

• 3+ years in sales analytics, category management, or related CPG experience

• Requires strong original thinking, creative problem solving and attention to detail

• Highly proficient in understanding the annual “sales cycle.” A solid fundamental knowledge of seasonal retail activities and issues is preferred. Process understanding and fact-based analysis interpretation is essential

• Self-starter with the ability to work proactively and across multiple cross-functional teams

• Requires strong people and customer management skills. Ability to identify problems and propose solutions

• Ability to think strategically, develop tactically, listen actively, demonstrate clear, consistent communication and direction, work efficiently and foster teamwork, while working in a high-pressure environment

• Effective communication, presentation and negotiation skills are critical

• Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to data mine substantial amounts of information from multiple sources and utilize that data to drive sales growth

• Familiarity with Shiloh and SAP platforms is a plus

• Proficient in all systems needed to create a compelling story (Excel, Retail Link, Nielsen)

• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
