A&D Manufacturing is searching for an experienced Operations Manager in our Peebles Smitten, Ohio location. This position requires qualified candidates to be safety conscious and able to perform required functions in a productive manner, working with tight schedules and deadlines.
MEASURE OF SUCCESS
- Manage the production process to ensure customer orders are manufactured correctly, cost effectively and delivered on time in accordance with quality requirements and customer specification.
- Communication with internal and external teams
- Planning and scheduling with internal and external teams
- Achieve defined production targets
- Monitor and improve inventory turns without adversely affecting service levels
- Analyze excess inventory and provide solutions to the cross functional team
- Responsible for cross-functional alignment with Purchasing to ensure materials are purchased cost effectively and available for production when required.
- Responsible for cross-functional alignment with Inventory to ensure raw materials and products are receipted, located, stored, transferred correctly, and the stock inventory is accurate.
- Provide back-up management and support for other projects or issues, as needed.
IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES
- 4-year college degree or 5+ years experience in a production environment.
- SAP experience a plus, but not required.
- Previous experience in people management and project management.
- Able to meet requirements of a dynamic production environment.
- Seasonal production experience is a plus.
- Must have excellent organizational and project planning skills.
- Experience with Word and Excel a plus. Strong Excel and MS Office skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication. Must be able to write, read and speak English. (Bilingual a plus).
- Able to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
