Our Garden Segment is searching for a Field Representative in our Roll, AZ location. This position will create and maintain relationships with local growers, buyers, and government agencies in the grass seed business.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

• Prepare proposals, quotes, contracts, or presentations for potential customers.
• Manage provided leads, and set appointments for phone calls and visits.
• Meet and exceed sales objectives, and report directly to the General Manager.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships throughout the job.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goal.
• Successfully negotiate contracts with customers including answering customer questions and concerns and assisting as needed with Operations and other co-workers.
• Possess strong presentation and follow-up with potential clients.
• Strong ability to close the sale.
• Provide timely responses to customer inquiries regarding services, products, pricing, and availability.

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

• Knowledge of the farming community in the southern California and Arizona areas

• High school diploma or GED required, Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Salesperson, critical thinking skills, price negotiations, ability to close the sale, ability to multi-task.

• Bilingual, Spanish is a plus

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Must be able to drive for long distance
• Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment with temperature ranges from 115º to 40º Fahrenheit.
• Some travel is required
• COVID-19 considerations: All customers and employees are required to wear masks and wash their hands/ use hand sanitizer regularly.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong written and verbal communication
