Central Garden & Pet is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst, Logistics to join our Corporate Finance team, supporting supply chain operations. This is a flexible hybrid role with preference given to candidates in the metro Atlanta area.

The Sr. Financial Analyst, Logistics is an integral member of the product supply team and will be responsible for providing analytical and decision support to our corporate logistics team. This role will primarily be responsible for improving the logistics accounting processes, developing analytics dashboards and reports related to logistics, and supporting network design initiatives by improving data quality and processes.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

• Utilize data from disparate sources to support decisions and provide insights into logistics operations
• Improvements in logistics data quality and useability
• Building relationships with all levels of the organization and communicating the logistics data story up and down that organization to influence decisions
• Rolling up the sleeves and developing unique and useful data models with minimal outside supervision
• Analyses that support long-term strategy as well as short-term decisions

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, supply chain or other analytical field required, 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience leading continuous improvement efforts
• Experience in multi-business unit environments preferred
• Proficient in various Microsoft applications or useful analytical software – advanced Excel skill is a must, Tableau experience preferred but data visualization tool experience required
• ERP experience required, SAP experience a plus
• Network Optimization / Change management experience preferred
• High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of company data
• Attention to detail, quality, accuracy, timeliness, reliability, and thoroughness of work performed
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to develop strong working relationships across functions and geographic locations and at all levels of the organization
• Plan and organize work effectively; analyze problems, propose reasonable solutions
• Ability to travel as needed
