Our Garden Segment is searching for Seasonal Packaging and Coating Machine Operators in our Roll, AZ location. This position is a seasonal temporary opportunity which could become a full-time position with Central Garden & Pet. The main responsibility of the Machine Operator is to monitor the product and mechanisms as the grass seed is coated and packaged for distribution.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

• Operate Coating or Packaging Machine

• Placing product in machine and monitoring the coating once process is complete changing the to the packaging machine

• Packaging product to customer specifications

• Placing packaged product on to pallets

• Using a forklift, stack finished material and place in holding area

• General housekeeping of the work area by using the blower and clearing debris

• Must be able to have an acceptable lines per hour capability with minimum errors

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

• Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment with temperature ranges from 115º to 40º Fahrenheit.

• Must be able to work on your feet for long periods of time.

• Seasonal Overtime required
