Job Description

Overview: Washington Courthouse, Ohio based Fiber-Tech Industries is a family-owned company that produces large scale custom designed and cut Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic Panels (commonly known as FRP). Fiber-Tech is one of the largest producers of FRP panels in North America.

Position Summary: The primary responsibility of the Training and Compliance Coordinator is to learn our production process in detail, develop work instructions and training materials, and conduct training programs on an ongoing basis. All training programs and material will have safety, quality, and efficiency components. This is an exempt salary position that will also fill in for the shift supervisor in their absence.

Detailed Responsibilities:

· Spend time in all manufacturing positions to learn in detail each job on the production floors.

· Develop, manage, and deliver manufacturing training programs to new hires and existing employees.

· Responsibilities include all aspects of the training function including on the job training as subject matter expert, creation of the training materials, creation and coordination of training schedules and activities, updating SOP’s, training system improvements, and documentation.

· The Production Training Coordinator accomplishes these goals while striving to create an atmosphere of teamwork, continuous improvement, and EHS compliance.

· Monitor training effectiveness through detailed follow-up with employees and supervisors.

· Revise training materials, provide one on one real time coaching, and administer refresher courses as necessary until quality & productivity objectives are met.

· Conduct training audits to identify training gaps, and correct deficiencies.

· Train staff on Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts especially in Production – including 5S, CI suggestion system, CI tracking and feedback programs with assistance from Quality Assurance

· Assist with other training as needed.

Position Qualifications:

· Demonstrated ability to understand, document and teach standard work processes and EHS requirements in a manufacturing environment.

· Patience when training and retraining employees of various levels of experience and skill.

· Strong ability to assess the effectiveness of the training, and make continuous improvements leading to greater understanding and adoption of materials.

· Solid basis of knowledge in Continuous Improvement tools and problem solving – 5S (training can be provided)

· Strong technical written and oral communication skills.

· Motivated by teambuilding and a desire to improve individual performance of operators.

· Thoroughness and attention to detail in completing work and achieving accuracy.

· Self-motivated, independent, and tenacious individual who performs effectively under conditions of demanding workload and change.

· Willingness to take responsibility for decision making, to seek support when needed, and to continually learn.

· Proficient with Microsoft office Word, Excel, and Powerpoint

 

Hours, Salary and Benefits

· Hours are flexible to train first and second shift as needed

· Salary based on experience and education, $50,000 minimum.
