Cultural Meal Procurement Specialist Consultant
Multifaceted social service agency serving elders and disabled individuals, seeks a consultant to work on procurement of cultural meals for a Home Delivered and Congregate Nutrition Program within the City of Worcester. Work will include creating bid specifications, notifying potential community partners / vendors about the opportunity, holding bidder's conference, evaluating bids and making a recommendation on selected providers. Develop meal contract with successful bidders. Work with procured vendor(s) to ensure compliance with federal Title IIIC meal standards and other state and federal meal requirements. Assist with promotion of new meal types and operational details.
Job Requirements
Cultural Meal Procurement Specialist Consultant
Bachelor's degree required. Knowledge of the City of Worcester and its cultural diversity required. Bi-lingual preferred. (Spanish or Vietnamese). Knowledge of procurement processes, strong community relationships and good written and verbal communication skills required.
This is a consulting position with an anticipated need for six months.
