JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for:
  • Maintain machine OEE for end of line automation machinery.
  • Record and report scrap by a production line basis.
  • Identify and determine machine improvements by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards, completing technical studies.
  • Perform all necessary training for employees and record in accordance with American Nitrile Policy.
  • Identify safety improvements that can be implemented by working the EHS and maintenance departments.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules for the team.
  • Work with the Process and Project Engineering departments to commission new machinery, increase production output, and exceed customer specification.
  • Assesses cost effectiveness and feasibility of manufacturing processes; makes and implements recommendations to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Assists the Maintenance Supervisor and/or other appropriate leadership with programs, activities, and responsibilities of the maintenance department.
  • Implements the departmental budget.
 
Must be committed to providing our customers with a product that is safe and meets specifications, regulations, and statutory requirements.
 
This is a hands-on role that will require you to operate equipment, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement across multiple pieces of equipment.
 
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related field or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • One to three years’ experience working with highly automated systems, preferably packaging.
  • One to three years’ experience supervising employees.
  • Ability to think analytically and work through complex problems.
  • Ability to read, understand, document and maintain records as required.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. frequently.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Able to cope with continuous time sensitive work environment.
  • Good hand eye coordination and motor skills.
  • Good vision with or without glasses or vision correction
  • Be able to work standing - for 45+ minutes at a time.
  • Dress and safety requirements:
    • Good hygiene standards. Frequent hand washing. Covering of all open body hair.
    • No loose or hanging clothing or jewelry. Legs must be covered. Work pants or jeans preferred.
    • Must wear hairnets, beard covers, and disposable gloves while in packing area.
    • Work in noisy environment - ear protection required.
    • Safety shoes/boots required.
