The Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC) is a private, non-profit 50l(c)(3) community development corporation founded in 1991. LEDC's mission is to drive the economic and social advancement of low- to moderate-income Latinos and other D.C. area residents by equipping them with the skills and tools to achieve financial independence and become leaders in their communities.

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the Operations Associate will assist in completing operational, and administrative tasks related to the functionality of the organization. The Operations Associate's responsibilities include performing information technological, operational & administrative tasks, assisting other organization departments as needed, and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of Operations with the development and enforcement of policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistent and secure operations.
  • Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and support of IT systems, including hardware, software, CRM’s, SharePoint, and telecommunications.
  • Participate in Operations and Administration related projects, assisting with planning, implementation, and testing activities.
  • Monitor the performance and availability of IT systems, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and disruptions before escalating problems to our 3rd party IT Service Provider.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, troubleshooting technology issues before escalating problems to our 3rd party IT Service Provider.
  • Execute and support the activities and requirements for implementing projects for the optimal provision of services to internal and external clients of the organization.
  • Assist with the configuration of computerized systems and software, including call flows and routing, when the organization starts or updates its technology.
  • Maintain vendor relations and contract.

  • Evaluate and classify suppliers based on the price of their products and services, quality control criteria, and delivery conditions.
  • Coordinate purchasing, delivery, and receipt of orders for the entire organization.
  • Prepare purchase orders and send them to sellers promptly.
  • Management of payments to suppliers and contractors through complete monitoring of purchase requisitions.
  • Work hand in hand with the financial accounting area to guarantee timely payment of supplier invoices.
  • Assists with the onboarding of new Staff Members.
    • Set up new Staff Member with IT service provider.
    • Equipment acquisition/purchasing.
    • Provide technical assistant and support to all Staff Members with internal software’s and/or licenses in use:
      • Ring Central
      • Kisi
      • Skedda
      • Slack
      • Teams
      • Zoom
      • Adobe
    • Responsible to have an Operational session with each new Staff Members about the use of all the equipment and software’s mentioned above during the onboarding process.
  • Responsible for providing support at the Front Desk.
    • Cover the Front Desk while the Intake Receptionist is on PTO or at lunch time.
    • Welcome visitors and direct them to the required person or office.
    • Answer phones and make phone calls.
    • Forward phone calls to the appropriate extensions.
    • Send and receive correspondence.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field or at least 2 years of experience in Operations or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and telecommunications systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technology issues effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Strong verbal and written communication ability and organizational skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and
  • Excellent time management.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) and cultural sensitivity a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $60,400 - $69,834 annually, dependent on experience and team budget.
