Objective

The Recruiting Specialist plays a pivotal role in attracting and retaining top talent, ensuring our organization continues to thrive. The Recruiting Specialist will collaborate with various departments, develop innovative recruitment strategies, and contribute to the overall growth and success of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Executes end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring candidates for various positions within the organization
  • Screens resumes and conducts initial phone screens to assess candidate qualifications and fit for the role
  • Coordinates and schedules interviews for candidates, ensuring a smooth and efficient process
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and HR team members to make hiring decisions and extend job offers
  • Conducts reference checks and background screenings
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs, refines job descriptions, and develop tailored recruitment strategies to effectively staff the organization
  • Develops and implements effective recruitment strategies to attract and hire qualified candidates
  • Leverages various sourcing techniques, including KEMBA’s career page, job boards, social media, networking, direct sourcing, virtual job fairs, and DEI pipeline to identify potential candidates from outside and within the organization
  • Utilizes traditional and innovative sourcing methods to build a pipeline of qualified candidates
  • Develops and maintains relationships with external recruiting partners, universities, and community organizations to strengthen the organization's presence in the job market
  • Ensures a positive and seamless candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to candidates and hiring managers
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of recruitment activities through applicant tracking system and ancillary documentation
  • Operate independently with minimal supervision
  • Tracks and analyzes recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of sourcing strategies
  • Ensures applicant tracking system and assessment platforms are configured and performing optimally; effectively leveraging them to support recruitment processes
  • Prepares regular reports for management on recruitment activities and outcomes
  • Stays up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition
  • Performs all duties in a manner that is fully compliant with industry applicable regulations as well as KEMBA policy and procedures
  • Develops an understanding of Credit Union history, philosophy, organization, policies, and operational procedures
  • On a self-direct basis, continues to improve individual level of competency through training and certification on established educational programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent education and experience
  • Full-cycle recruitment experience filling entry to mid-level roles
  • 3 Years experience in talent acquisition and recruiting
  • Thorough knowledge of federal / state employment laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of most Microsoft Office software
  • Solid interpersonal and public relations skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must value a high degree of accuracy

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Assertive problem-solving skills
