POSITION DESCRIPTION

Title: KEMBA Wealth Management Assistant

Reports to: KEMBA Wealth Management Program Manager

Supervises: None

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Objective:

The KEMBA Wealth Management Assistant position is responsible for providing support to the Financial Advisors and Program Manager as well as help build member relationships. The position is responsible for support and coordination of all activities related to client service, processing of paperwork, and coordination of business development activities, as well as contribution to sales if appropriately licensed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assembles, tabulates, calculates, and maintains reporting and statistical data on a regular and special basis. Strong ability to read and comprehend data contained in a variety of reports.

  • Resolves or appropriately refers questions, requests, complaints and problems.

  • Assists with research and resolution of any member services related process issues.

  • Assists management with pending and follow up of issues as they arise.

  • Handles all sensitive data in a discrete and confidential manner.

  • Performs miscellaneous clerical and administrative tasks.

  • Performs other duties as required by Credit Union management.

  • Develops an understanding of Credit Union history, philosophy, organization, policies and operational procedures.

  • On a self-direct basis, continues to improve individual level of competency through training and certification on established educational programs.

  • Must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions:

(a) can get along with coworkers or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremes;

(b) perform work activities requiring negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading or speaking with others;

(c) respond appropriately to criticism from a supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a support, sales, or administrative capacity in a financial service or sales environment
  • A clean U4 FINRA background check and registration with KEMBA’s Broker Dealer, CUSO Financial Services, LP
  • Must have the ability to become licensed as FINRA Series 7, 63/65 (or 66) and Insurance licenses within 12-18 months of employment
